Q: What time of the year is best to go on Safari?

A: You can go on Safari all year around, but the best time to visit is during the dry seasons: January & February and June through to September.

Q: Do I need to be physically fit to go on Safari?

A: No, hiking in Uganda is considered to be much easier and therefore more enjoyable than neighbouring countries, the terrain is less steep and caters for all ages and abilities. Our guides will do their best to ensure your comfort and explain what is expected of you for each activity with options for all levels of fitness.

Q: What is included in the cost?
A: This will be fully described in our confirmation correspondence  But as a generalisation: transfers, permits, guides, transportation, accommodation and most meals.

Q: When do I need to pay for the Safari?
A: Please refer to our confirmation correspondance. In general, a deposit needs to be paid on booking to confirm accommodations, the balance is to be paid 30 days prior to your safari tour.

Q: Is there any special clothing or equipment that I need?
A: Comfortable long trousers and shirts, in a natural colour is recommended. Please refer to our full equipment list here for other recommendations. This will also be given to you in our confirmation correspondance.

Q: How should I behave around the Gorillas?

Each group of tourists are assigned a specialist guide trained to lead you. You will be fully briefed in this area.
Getting too close and not respecting their space, and the use of flash photography are two definite No-No's.

Q: What are the quality and quantity of meals?
A: Meals are good value but don't expect takeaway style food such as McDonalds and Wendy's.
